Working as the in-house designer for a small arts non-profit, I am responsible for designing collateral and marketing materials from original concept to final layout to promote our annual four performance season, youth outreach programs, fundraising events and dance academy classes. Layout designs are created across multiple media including: season programs with a distribution of 4,000 copies, brochures, newspaper advertising, posters, digital screen displays, postcard mailers with a distribution of 5,000 per event, web and e-communications

Rendezvous in the Park 2015 event design winner. This design for a client who produces an annual music festival focused on creating a sense of place. The area has a rich agricultural history and summer always sees the crop duster flights. The yellow crop duster is an almost iconic image of the area. I also keyed in on the idea of music in the air for this outdoor festival. Additional design applications included a t-shirt, a button, a website banner design, tickets, program, and newspaper advertisements for the program.
Festival Dance and Performing Arts produces a annual dance series, Great Performances, which presents four or more world class dance companies each year. Poster designs are created in various formats to promote these events across the area. Working directly with the performance companies to obtain photographs of the performers, posters are designed around these beautiful and dynamic images.

In this Senior Studio Project, I explored materiality in packaging design with the underlying purpose to make a connection between the product, its source and the production process, and the consumer. The unique use of the packaging materials make the products stand out as unique among the other products on the shelf, while inferring the idea of the purity of the product through the use of natural materials and clear containers. A simplified language of illustration and typography was developed, so as not to distract from the product itself, bringing the consumer’s focus to the product itself. The three family product lines are tied together by simplicity in design and focus on materiality.

Taste of Africa - The client was opening a new Ethiopian restaurant in the new Boise International Food Market. The business needed an identity to clearly communicate the type of food they would be serving while communicating a casual, family table style. The business required a business card, menu, food packaging for to-go orders and signage. I included t-shirts and hats that could be worn by employees as well as being sold to patrons.

EcoDriver - The client, the City of Moscow, has implemented the EcoDriver program with their city fleet. This program provides instruction for ecological driving. The city would like to expand the program throughout the community. This group project proposed presenting the EcoDriver program to Drivers’ Ed students through the local high school. Our group prepared a slide presentation that could be presented to the students that focused on the ecological driving tips with a focus on a fun, cheeky style to the illustrations that would appeal to this age group.
